Khoj was a project by a dear friend, which made the experience all the more special. What excited me most was the opportunity to build an entire house set from scratch inside an under construction building. It was one of those projects where every wall, every corner, and every detail had to be imagined and created from the ground up.

The most enjoyable part of the process was designing the elaborate rat trap that plays a significant role in the story. It involved extensive research, countless discussions, and a lot of trial and error before we arrived at a design that wasn't just visually interesting, but one that was theoretically fully functional. It was one of those rare design challenges where creativity and problem solving went hand in hand.

What made this project even more meaningful was the people behind it. Almost everyone on the crew had crossed paths years earlier while working on a long format project, and over time we'd all become close friends. There was an ease and trust that came from knowing each other so well, making the collaboration feel effortless even when the work itself was demanding.

Looking back, this film reminds me how rewarding it is to build something entirely from nothing. It reaffirmed my love for designing spaces with intention and finding creative solutions that quietly serve the story.
